The 2024-25 BOIDC regular season has been completed with the completion of round 14 matches on Saturday.

Bathurst City had finished their season with a bang, defeating Orange CYMS outright at Bathurst Sportsground. After he had scored an unbeaten century on day one of the match, adding 99 for the last wicket with Jaidyn Hutchings to push his teams score to 190, Jed Cruickshank took 1/17 from 13 overs in the Orange CYMS 1st innings and then another 6 in their 2nd to help his team to the victory.

Resuming at 3/63, Haydn Edwards removed Tom Belmonte early, before Cruickshank chimed in with the wicket of Johnty French. When Edwards struck again CYMS were in real trouble at 6/76 and needing some of the Bathurst City heroics from the previous Saturday. Bathurst City didn't allow that to occus, as Liam Cain and Blake Kreuzberger finished CYMS off, picking up 2 wickets each, to end the CYMS first innings on 94. Cain finished with 3/8 from his 7 overs, while Edwards took 3/16 from 10 overs and Blake Kreuzberger 2/29.

Following on, CYMS looked for quick runs to get themselves back in the match desperate for the chance to reverse the first innings result and keep themselves in contention for third place. The green and golds got off to a great start, with opening pair Tom Belmonte (58) and Brett Wykes (34) adding 71 before Cohen Schubert removed Belmonte. Blake Kreuzberger then removed Joey Coughlan cheaply, but Brett Wykes and Greg Donaldson wiped off the deficit before Kreuzberger had Wykes caught.

With a lead of 23, CYMS looked to push on, but the reintroduction of Cruickshank into the attack changed the course of the CYMS innings as he proceeded to take 6 of the remaining 7 wickets to bundle CYMS out for 152 in their second dig and only leading by 56. Cruickshank finished with 6/25 from 7.2 overs while Kreuzberger took the other wicket to finish with 3/55.

Bathurst City proceeded to pick of the runs required for the outright win, but not before the CYMS bowlers gave them a scare, as they lost 6 wickets along the way. Greg Donaldson (2/10) and Joey Coughlan (2/14) were the multiple wicket takers. The win left Bathurst City comfortably in 5th place.

At Riawena Oval, after going to stumps the previous Saturday at 6/441, with Kalnins retiring on his day 1 score, Cavaliers batted another 12 overs before finally declaring their innings closed at 8/486, the highest ever score in a BOIDC match, eclipsing the previous record score of 3/476 set by ORC in the 2002-03 season.

For Colts, Luke Muir finished with 3/72, with Dave Rogerson (2/76) and Riley Larnach (2/46) also picking up a couple of wickets each.

With a minimum of 66 overs left in the day, City Colts batted their way to 6/199 captains agreed to call it a day. Tyler Horton made 81 off 68 deliveries to top score for his team, while Kurt Toole also contributed 47 at the top of the order, For Cavaliers, Josh Ward and Tom Blowes each picked up 2 wickets.

At Wade Park, Orange City finished their season with a solid batting performance against Rugby Union. Chasing the Bulldogs total of 303, City made their way to 218 before they were all out. Coming in at number 3, regular opener Harry Grindle made 52 for the Warriors to top the scoring.

Morty Hamling frustrated the Rugby bowlers, making 28 before regular wicket keeper, Hugh Taylor had his opposing gloveman caught behind. Jarryd Seib helped push his team's total past 200 with his 40 from number 10. Tanvir Singh bowled well early to take 2/22 from 10 overs, while Sam MacPherson (2/40) and Hugh Taylor (2/32) helped to finish the innings off.
